Why this work is important
Before FY27, Data 360 features were developed and released with limited hands-on user testing, resulting in an experience that is difficult for users to understand, set up, and successfully use. Our CPO mandated that “nothing goes out the door without being tested” in D360, and we rapidly established a usability gate for GA features and scaled usability testing to prevent sub-par experiences from going GA (5 features blocked, to date).
Steps taken to get there
R&I partnered with Product and UX to create feature prioritization and severity rubrics, launched the PM Research Enablement Program (PREP– the foundation for ExpOrg’s Rapid User Testing/RUT program), built AI-enabled Slack support workflows, and recruited 1,500+ users for rapid testing panels. We now mandate joint leadership sign-off for all Tier 1 feature launches. Next up Streamlining PREP workflows, releasing Claude skills, and scaling Rapid User Testing for UX prototype evaluation.
