D360 Default Homepage View

Why this work is important

The homepage is the customer's first touchpoint — and today, onboarding to and setting up Data 360 is scattered and disjointed. This work is directly tied to the new nav's success: the nav is designed to guide users to the right features via logical grouping and search, and the homepage — along with category pages — is where that guidance has to land.

The problem this work will solve

Users can now get started fast in their day 0 journey, getting oriented on what their first steps should be and what use cases can get them quickly to their time to value. As they progress, metrics, errors and stats will populate- providing a holistic view of how their system is running and what is being outputted in a customizable and friendly view.

Current status

Development is underway with engineering scoping each metric and building learning components. The metrics will be built off the Tableau framework.

D360 Marketing Homepage View

Why this work is important

Marketers don't reject Data 360’s value — they reject its complexity, unpredictable cost, and the sense that it's built for IT/admins rather than for them. That's exactly the gap the customized marketing view is aimed at closing.

The problem this work will solve

One size does not fit all for our users, and a customized Day 0 and Day 1 marketing view removes the unnecessary complexity and bulk of Data 360. We give them the things they care about, speak the marketers’ language and surface the available unified data provided for them to get a jump start on segmentation.

Steps taken to get there

Research was conducted that spanned both homepage views, honing in on what users wanted and needed along with what they didn't.

Current status

Eng is scoping and spiking on how to surface the different views based off persona and perm sets.
